Mary Barret competed in the World Championship Indoor Masters in Kamloop in Canada this week. Mary took flight to Canada on Sunday 28th February and is returning home tomorrow the 6th of March, with 2 bronze and 1 silver. She won Bronze in the Pentathlon, Bronze in the High Jump and silver in the Shot. Such an impressive performance, after Air Canada Loosing her luggage leaving Mary only with the clothes she had on her, she even had a to go and buy a new pair of spikes to compete in the pentathlon!
Loughrea Athletic Club would like to congratulate Mary for her hugely successful performance in Canada and we are sure she will keep progressing on, bettering herself and setting new records all sides.
