Jane-Anne Healy (Athenry AC) is organising a trial run in Connemara on Sat.27th Feb. Buses leaving from various locations----starting at 7am.

Refreshments in Peacocks Maam Cross and buses returning at 1pm.
Loughrea Athletes have been competing in many events around the county and further afield. The winter blues had little effect on their
performances.
TUAM 8K January 17th
Tuam 8k 17th January 2010, Judith Roache won the F55 category in 41.19 and then went on to win the F55 category in the prolonged fields of Athenry 10k held on the 24th January in a time of 52.08 so well done Judith.
ATHENRY 10K January 24th

Laura Shaughnessy made a welcome return to top class cross-country action when competing in the All- Ireland Junior championships in Kilbeggan Racecourse on Sunday last.
In very difficult, windy conditions, Laura claimed the silver medal behind the Northern Ireland Athlete Ciare Mageean with another Northern Ireland athlete in third place.
The performance guarantees Laura a place on the Irish team for the European Cross-Country Championships in Santry Demesne Dublin on Dec 13th next.
The day before the Dublin City Marathon, 6 club members took on the much shorter distance of 5 kilometres.

Annette Keane had a good outing at the Balla 5k----finishing in 3rd place overall.
The club had 12 representatives in the 30th edition of the Dublin City Marathon on Bank Holiday Monday.
For some it was their first attempt at a marathon and it was great that all 12 completed the course.
